Unexpected Quality

I actually had quite a few candidates for this blog from the last few days including Street Fighting Man by the Rolling Stones and Are friends Electric by Gary Numan but Chris Tarrant has just eclipsed them all by playing Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. Although a fairly regular feature on the likes of Radio Caroline it's never really been one to make the mainstream radio. What a song.

Paper who ?

Paper Lace rarely come up and when they do it's usually the highly naff Billy Don't Be A Hero but the other morning Ken Bruce played The Night Chicago Died. Still a naff song by modern standards but we happily sang along to it on the top deck of our Greyhound double-decker on the way home from school and thought it was so cool.

How wrong we were :D
